Our Fabulous trip to Disneyland!!!!

Well we are back from the Happiest place on earth. I am always sad to come home. My family teases me because I get very sad and teary upon leaving and then for the ride home I am also pretty sad. We had the most awesome time on our trip. We were going to meet my parents who arrived the day before we did. We did not want to keep them waiting for us so we did something we have never done before,we left our house at 5:08 am. It was a good thing because it was foggy and I was able to sleep for a lot of the drive this was a plus for me. We arrived at the parking lot of the Disneyland Hotel at 10:20 am! We made great time. We called my parents and they met up with us. We got everything put into our room and then headed over to the ESPN Zone because we were very hungry. We had a great meal and then we were off to the park. Holly met up with one of her friends,Pluto. He is always a kick to see because he ofcourse is a character all his own. The park was all decked out for the holidays. Everything was just beautiful! The weather was also very nice. We made a trip to The Reindeer Roundup where the girls got cookies and decorated them.

While we were there we say this turkey. He is one very lucky turkey. This is the actual turkey that President Bush pardoned. He was spared and was sent to live at Disneyland. He was very pampered. On Thanksgiving Day he was actually in the parade so that all of the guests could get a look at him. He is living right in the Big Thunder Ranch. He looks very comfortable to me.
Holly wanted to go to the Princess Fantasy Fair. We tried this on our last visit as well and she had such a great time there. This time she had her hair done and her face painted. She really loved this. She picked the mermaid face painting this time. Last time she was a pirate. Later that day she went on Splash Mountain with Daddy and Grandpa and when she got off she was upset because some of her paint was smearing. I fixed it for her and she was so happy.

When we were at California Adventure we were able to ride the new ride that opened this past summer. It is called Toy Story Mainia. This ride is so much fun. You actually go through the ride making several stops in front of screen type things and use this gun sort of thing that is on your car and aim and shoot at the targets gaining points. It is an interactive game along the same line as Buzz Lightyears Astro Blaters. This is one we had to ride a couple of times. It was so much fun!

The Christmas trees were amazing! The size alone leaves you in awe. The decorations are all porportionate to the size of the tree. I loved the decorations throughout both parks. This is my favorite time of year and it is also my favorite time to visit the parks.

Grandma and Holly had to see Mickey and get their picture taken with him. He and Minnie were both all decked out in thier holiday attire. They both commented on the hats Holly and Grandma were wearing. Minnie especially liked Grandmas hat. Holly let her borrow it.

We all enjoyed the newly renovated Monorail. The cars are all new. The seating inside is different as well as the outside of the train is all metallic looking. They are very particular as to how many people are allowed in each car now. If there are too many then they make people get out.

The trip was amazing! We had so much fun. We were able to enjoy dinner and breakfast at The Rainforest Cafe as well as a wonderful dinner at Ralph Brennans Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney. We had a great lunch at Ariels Grotto in California Adventure. The Christmas parade was awesome. We even ran into some friends of ours from home as we were leaving the park for the last time. This trip is one that will last in our hearts and in our memories forever.
