I love scrapbooking. I also love to go to the scrapbooks expos. Every summer there is one in Santa Clara. It is really fun to go. This year things changed up a bit from the past years and two of my good friends were able to join me as well as my sister. My group of friends and I enjoy getting together to scrapbook. We usually do this at my house. We came up with an idea in July to get some shirts made so that we could wear them at the expo and on crop night. We figured we could also wear them when we get together at my place. I have a friend that owns a shirt shop so I went to see him. We decided to call ourselves "The Cricuteers" I love my cricut machines and you all know how much I love Disneyland so it kind of took flight from those two ideas. I went in and talked to my friend and we came up with this really cute design which is the actual Cricut head but it is inside of a Mickey head. It would have been totally fine to do the actual Cricut logo but it made it a little more fun by doing the Mickey head. The shirts are pink and the logo is lime green and a bit of white. The shirts say We love to scrap, we scrap to live. They are really cute and we got so many compliments on them.
Well the time had finally come for me to leave. I went up to my Mom's last Wednesday and spent the night so I could leave in the morning to head over to the Convention Center. I was helping a vendor with their booth set up again. I got to spend time with my friend Libby who works for the vendor I was helping. It is a lot of work but also a loy of fun. After I was done working I headed up to my fabulous room. Let me tell you it was wonderful. This hotel has the most comfortable beds as well as the absolute best pillows on the entire planet.
I relaxed and enjoyed myself. I scrapbooked at the great desk which was right in front of the window. I ordered room service, again fabulous. I got to just kick back and enjoy myself with no interuptions. I got the biggest kick out of the sinks. They were neat.
I enjoyed the expo by myself on Friday. Everyone was busy and couldn't come that day. On Saturday everyone met up in my room and we all came down to the expo. My sister never likes to buy anything. It is a guilt thing. She worries about everything and just can't make a decision. I had bought a really nice bag at the last expo and this year both Kayla and Kristie bought one. Stephanie wanted one but couldn't make up her mind. Finally she broke down and got one. I know they all will love the bags. There was one super important thing missing from the weekend, it was my good friend Denissa. She couldn't make it this time. It was sad. SHe will come the next time though and she will get her matching bag! We all missed her so much!
At lunch we met up with one of my favorite people, Cricut Dan. He owns Scrapbook Corner and is the Cruicut expert. He loved our shirts and told us to come by his booth so we did. He had these cricut green hats so we took our picture with him. He is truely one of the nicest people I have ever met.

At 5:00 we all headed down to the crop area. We had a reserved table and we brought a bunch of snacks. We got all set up and starterd cropping. We were having a fabulous time. Here are my friends Kayla and Kristie.

We enjoyed talking and scrapbooking until 11:30. You never know exactly what will happen at the expo. It started with a ladies chair breaking and her being on the ground for a bit. There were some vendors that popped in with some nice deals as well.

Then they had a dance contest. This was hilarious. Melissa from Pugnacious Stamps came through pushing Dave, the manager of the expo on one of the hotel carts and they were singing and dancing.

Then they decided to have a dance contest and this was so funny. This older man got up and started dancing. The crowd was going crazy! Yes there was a man there and he was scrapbooking!

We had so much fun. We didin't want the night to end. After the crop was over we wanted to go to the bar area and get a drink. We pulled our carts over there and sat down. Nobody came to take our order. We found out that the bar closed at 11:30 so we missed it. We just sat and talked for a bit longer until we went back to our rooms. Stephanie, Kristie and I planned on sleeping in and taking our time getting home. My BFF Kayla always dances to a different drummer where this is concerned. She gets up and out of there early. She was gone by 9:00 am! I can't quite figure that out about her. She needs to relax and enjoy herself more than she does!
