Well to say things have been a bit on the crazy side around here would definitely be an understatement. It seems that no matter who you are it is that way around every one's house this time of year. We have a very, very full schedule right now. There is school, PTA, soccer, dance,CCD and Girl Scouts just to name a few. I am definitely not complaining because even on the craziest of days it is always worth the hustle. In addition to everything listed above I have also been driving Alissa back and forth to school. She attends college about 30 minutes from home. It can take up to 45 minutes each way if the traffic is bad. Alissa was chomping at the bit to get her drivers license. We however were not! She really didn't seem very comfortable behind the wheel despite all of the practice time she had been logging in between her Dad and myself. She set up an appointment anyways. She was a little bit nervous. She came home extremely excited because she got her drivers license! We were very happy for her but a little nervous for her to be out driving by herself. It is funny that no matter how old your children are they don't always appear that way in your mind? I sometimes still picture her as my little 4 year old going everywhere with me and holding my hand. I know that she will enjoy this new found freedom of having a drivers license. She can hardly wait for the hard copy to arrive in the mail. Holly had a very exciting couple of days. She had a fabulous soccer game. She usually plays in the defender position. She loves to play back there. She really enjoys helping her team get the ball back down the field. The coach put her in at forward during the last half of the game. She LOVED it! She scored a goal and was on cloud nine. She told us after that she had so much fun and can't wait to play that position again. She has a great coach. He had a talk with her and told her how proud of her he was. He told her that she is a great player and a very kind girl . He also told her that he really appreciates the way she always give 150% and never complains about doing anything in practice or a game. He also told her how much he loves the way she cheers her team mates on from the field or the side lines.

It's been an exciting time around here......
Last week I got a call from the school asking me to be at the big Super Star Assembly. I was told that Holly would be receiving the "Citizen of the Month" Award. It is a surprise for the recipients. She knew I was going to be at the school that morning because I was working on a bunch of PTA stuff. She was curious about who the winner was going to be this month. She had no idea she was even a possibility because she had just received the weekly Shing Star award 2 weeks before this. When they announced her name she was so surprised and so excited! I am so very proud of her.
