I am so excited! It is official, Dale Jr. clinches a spot in the Chase! Woooohoooooo! He has had such a great year this year. It sure is a change from the hard time he endured last season. He has been running in the top 10 positions all year. Tonight though he officially clinched a spot. The race was at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California. For some reason Dale Jr. has not always had the best of luck at this track. When we were there at the race in February he got hit by another driver and it really wrecked his car. He has had engine failures and tire problems here in the past. Tonight he finished 11th. That really isn't too bad due to his bad luck here. Looking at the point standings as of tonight he sits 4th. The race next week is the final race before the chase starts so there is much excitement ahead. I just feel great that Jr. is safe and secure with his spot in the chase. Next week the race will be in Richmond which is a great track for Jr. I am so happy because he has been through so much prior to this year. He had his skeptics wondering if he did the right thing by leaving his fathers race team. Well in my mind there was never any doubt that his decision was the right one. He proved that this year. He was given great equipment week in and week out. That combined with his talent has earned him this spot. I look forward to the next couple of months of great racing. I am hoping that Jr. will be able to take this and drive his way to the top of the points standings once the chase begins. No matter where he does end up point wise one thing is for sure, I will be a very happy camper come the beginning of December when I get to see my favorite driver all dressed up walk up on the stage at The Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York and give his speech! Like I said before, WoooooooooooooHoooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!! GO dale Jr. #88 rocks the house!!!!
