Keeping busy.......

Cards for Soldiers Recipe Swap......

Holly and her best friend Paige...

I have been crazy busy this week! There is alot of stuff going on around here. We are in full swing so to speak. Today Tiffany started her second year at CSU Stanislaus. She had a great day and really likes her classes. Alissa is busy as she has started her Junior year at Beyer High and is very involved in the marching band. She also has 2 AP classes that require alot of homework. On top of this she has her learners permit and is wanting to practice driving all of the time. She even finds time to babysit. Band takes up alot of her time as well as ours. She has practice 2 nights a week plus Saturday practice that is usually all day long. Holly started Third Grade over a month ago and loves it! She has her first soccer game tomorrow and is very excited. She really loves soccer. Her dance class started this past week as well. She is looking forward to this year as well as trying out for The Nutcracker next weekend. She is finally old enough and can't wait. Her school is having their annual Harvest Hay Day and I have been busy with that.

I love to scrapbook so whenever I can squeeze in time for that I am really happy. When I was at the Scrapbook Expo last month I took a couple of classes and came home with the projects from the classes. I have been trying to get them finished up. I don't have pictures on all of the layouts but I wanted to post them anyways. I love to participate in swaps with my friends. I found this past couple of weeks that I signed up for some that really creeped up on me with the due dates. I completed a page layout swap that included making enough page elements for 30 people. It was fun and the theme was wonderful. It was a Disney Page Layout swap. I can't wait to see what I get when everything is mailed back to me. A few days ago I finished my Recipe page swap. This swap was really important to me because it was a swap that only my Cards for Soldiers friends ( We are also known as Queens because our little corner of the world is a castle ) are in. It is being put together by my friend Jenn. She is also a big Dale Jr. fan. That ofcourse makes her one of the smartest people I know. I am eagerly awaiting these pages to come back to me. There were 27 pages that I made for this swap. It will be so fun to see what other people came up with and then to try all of the recipes out. Some of the ladies really enjoy cooking and baking just like myself so it should be really fun. I thought I would post some of these projects to share with all of you.
