Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope that you and your families are able to enjoy a wonderful day together. I cooked a big turkey with all of the fixings. I made 2 pumking pies and one apple pie yesterday. They were very good. Tonight we had turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green bean casserole, candied yams, gravy and rolls. Yummy! It was all pretty tastey even if I do say so myself. I look forward to Thanksgivng so much. The sites and smells that are associated with this holiday offer me comfort I guess. It also means the start of the Christmas season, which many of you know is my very favorite time of year. This morning Holly and I watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. This is a tradition in our house. We love to see all of the balloons, and bands that come along. We are always happy to see the famous people that ride on the floats. This year was another great parade. I then spent part of the day watching some Christmas movies on TV. They are kicking off the holiday season. I love Christmas movies! so tonight we all have full tummies and are just relaxing. We are watching A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. This was a favorite of mine growing up.
I am now onto my Disneyland Countdown again. It is hard to believe that I will be in Disneyland in 3 days! I came online to double check the 7 day forecast for the Anaheim area. It looks like it is going to be wonderful weather! Mid 70's everyday we will be there. Yeah!!!! I love walking up to the gates of the park and looking up at the Main Street train station. The train is something we really love to ride. Sometimes we will ride it around the park a couple of times without getting off. The sound of the train whistle is one that brings a smile to my face. We have alot of memories on the train. Dating back to our first trip to Disneyland with Tiffany and Alissa. We went with my parents and my sister. We had a great time. Tiffany and Alissa have always enjoyed riding the train with Grandpa.
