My fortune cookie read........

Today I had a fortune cookie. My fortune was the most real thing that I have ever had inside one of these little cookies. I tried to take a picture of it to post but it wouldn't come out. It was too small and so blurry. It read as follows: " You will always be surrounded by true friends...." I thought right away just how accurate this fortune was. I have said it before and I will say it again that I have some terrific friends. I am so lucky to have them in my life. I can definitely say with out any hesitation that they are the best ever. If you look up the word friend in the dictionary the definition is as follows: someone on terms of affection and regard for another who is neither relative nor lover. Someone who freely supports and helps out of good will. When I think of friendship certain things come immediately to my mind. I think that a friend is someone that is always there for you. Someone that you can talk everything over with and not be afraid that they will judge you. A friend is also someone that knows all about you and loves you anyway. I also think that being a true friend means that you don't always have to agree with them or have common interests. Everyone is different and people change over time but friendship in it's true form is always there no matter what.

After I read the fortune I thought of my group of "true" friends right away. I am lucky to have these ladies in my life.

Here is Kayla. She really is a great friend. My BFF as we commonly say. She makes me smile everyday. With Kayla everything is easy. I know that no matter what the case she has my back and I have hers. We love to scrapbook together. More importantly she also knows how to pronouce the important things in scrapbooking correctly. She knows that the Cropadile tool is just that and not a Crocodile. There are a couple more things that she pronouces correctly but they are for another day. LOL.She got me into the Twilight series. I am hooked. I do love Edward but nobody can top DEJ. She has a great family too.

Here is Denissa. She is a fabulous friend. When I am with her it makes me happy. She is one of the nicest people that I will ever meet. She has started to scrapbook with us and we are so happy. She is the perfect addition to our group. I can talk to her about anything. She is a wonderful person and one of my closest friends. I always look forward to seeing her. She is a very talented jewelery designer too. Her family is great.

This is Carol. She is my long time best friend. She is also Holly's Fairy Godmother. She is an amazing person. I have known her for many years and I knew right away that we had a connection. We both love all things Disney. We like to go to Disneyland by ourselves. This is something we haven't been able to do for a few years but hope to do again soon. She makes the best deviled egg sandwhiches ever. I don't get to see her very often. :( The times we do get to visit go by way to fast. She has an amazing family that makes me proud. She is also the best Godmother that any little girl could ever ask for. She is a teacher and works very hard. Oh and I can't forget to say how much we LOVE chocolate. We always have the best treats after lunch.

This is Kristie. She is a very friendly person. Her smile makes you feel good right away. She is very trendy. You can always count on her to have the cutest shirt as well as matching converse tennis shoes. My girls all love her style. She also scrapbooks with us. I love to visit with her. She makes the best little weenies for our scrapbook days.


So in regards to my fortune I can only say this, I am truely grateful for the friends that I am surrounded by. I also feel that being a "true" friend means that no matter what the circumstance you come up against, no matter what things you have in common with someone, no matter what anothers point of view is, if you are truely friends with that person none of that matters. To be a true friend all you need is just one thing in common. You just have to have that starting off point. People go through ups and downs in life. That is a given. If you are a true friend you are there for them ALWAYS whether you agree or disagree with them. I am so lucky to have the "true" friends that I do. The fortune hit the nail on the head for me. So the lesson is that sometimes those fortunes inside those little cookies really do come true!
