Kayla's Party.....

After what has seemed like months of waiting the night finally arrived. It was Kayla's big Twilight party. She is obssessed with all things Twilight. She can often be heard reffering to Edward as her boyfriend. I can't say that I blame her,he does have a very charming, romantic personality. Then there is also the fact that he is easy on the eyes. She even had her little Edward figure walking around with her in her pocket. We refer to him as Pocket Edward. LOL. Kayla has been working very hard on this party. It was so worth it. Everything was amazing. She had a special photo spot set up so that all of the guests could get their picture taken with Edward. She went to a lot of wrok. It was great. She made a wonderful dinner. For anyone that knows anything about the book, Edward and Bella's first meal together was Mushroom Raviolis. Well actually Bella ate and Edward watched. To recreate this, Kayla served Mushroom raviolis, ceasar salad and breadsticks. She also made a very yummy punch called Bloody Bella. I only had one glass of this as it consisted of several juices and a splash or half a bottle of vodka. It was very good but I was my own driver.

She had candles all over the place. It was very beautiful. Her wonderful husband Nic even went the extra mile. He put up special black plastic outside covering the windows. It was great.

Her table decorations were amazing. The candles were white but had red running down the sides of them. We took a Twilight quiz before we ate. It really was a test. It consisted of 52 questions based on the book. We ate dinner and then corrected our tests after we ate. I was so excited because I was the winner. I answered 46 questions correctly! I won a poster.

She also made each of us our own name tag buttons. They each said something different. Mine had my name on it and then it said I read the book in 24 hours! This was unique to me because I did read the book in 24 hours. She also made each of us these wonderful goodie bags. We were so spoiled. She also included a menu at each of our place settings.

Some of us brought our books and we all had our pictures taken together holding them. It was really a fun night! I can't thank Kayla enough for such a great evening. She out did herself. She went to so much work. I appreciate her attention to detail. This party rocked!
