Celebrating summer!

We look forward to the 4th of July every year. We celebrate with my best friend and her family. My best friends oldest daughter is also Holly's best friend. It is a win win situation all around when we get to spend time with them.We go to Kayla's Dads house for a day of swimming, visiting and barbequeing. We top that all off with a fireworks display. Her family is the best. Her Dad has the funniest stories to tell all the time. She has such a wonderful Grandma. Her name is Bea. I love this lady. She is a very active happy lady. She was sick earlier this year. She was playing bingo at her mobile home park with her friends when she started having some problems. The paramedics arrived and wanted to take her to the hospital. She didn't want to go but her friends told her she should. She spent a little while in the hospital. She is about back to speed. She told me I could come by anytime I want to visit because she lives right down the street from me. That would be nice but I fully expect that she will never be home if I do stop by. She is one very busy lady. Holly and Paige where in heaven all day long. They LOVE spending time together. They spent most of the day in the pool taking the occasional break to come out long enough to get a snack.

The girls are crazy about each other and flipped when they realized they had the same shirts! They put them on so they could wear them when they were watching the fireworks.

This year Maddy thought she would try out some ear protection. It was getting pretty loud. She used the ear protectors for a little bit and then was done with them.

Paige and Holly tried out these new 3D type glasses that came with the fireworks. They were having so much fun. They sure are goof balls!

We enjoyed a fabulous day with our best friends. We are already looking ahead to next years celebration. The girls have their next get together planned. They always try to stretch the time out. Sometimes they go as far as hiding someplace to prolong their time together.

The finale was a sight to see. The apache firedance was the best firework this year. It lasted for nearly 5 minutes and was fabulous! Things are in a bit of an up in the air mode over at my house right now. With Alissa being sick and all of the doctors appointments it is crazy to say the least. I am in the middle of a project which I hope to finish soon. I will take pictures and post about it as soon as I can.
