Busy Weekend......

We had a busy weekend. It started on Friday with the Harvest Hay Day at Holly's school. It was really fun. It has been held off campus for the past few years but was moved back this year. I was so happy. We had a great time. Holly and some of her friends helped me work the cupcake walk. Everyone loved that. We had so many people bring cupcakes. The food was great. We had tri tip sandwiches and homemade beans, Yumm-o is all I can say.

We started our day off bright and early on Saturday. Alissa had to be at her band practice early. Holly and I had to run a couple of errands before her soccer game. Today we had our one and only late starting game. I was really bummed out because it was my niece Maddie's first birthday party and we couldn't make it. She lives about an hour or so away and the party started during her game so it made it impossible for us to be in two places at once. If we wouldn't have come to the game today the team would of had to forfiet because we had just enough girls to play today. Holly was the goal keeper again this week. She was back to her old form. The girls played much better this week too. The score was 4-2 and we lost but it was a good game. The goals that got by Holly were next to impossible for her to get so she wasn't upset. She played really well and had an awesome second half. She really was all over the ball this week. She said she had so much fun.

This afternoon we went to our good friend Stephanie's party. She graduated from Dental Hygienist school yesterday. We have known Stephanie since she was about 18 months old and is now 21 years old. We are very proud of her. She has grown from a sweet little girl into a lovely young lady. The party was alot of fun. We got to visit with some friends we haven't seen in a long time. Stephanie's mom Cindy is a very close friend of mine and is always a blast to visit with.

This evening we attended Alissa's first Full Dress performance. The band holds this every year as a kick off sort of thing for their families. It allows them to see exactly how much they have learned since band camp. They usually go away for the weekend to a different school but that fell through this year. They worked very hard over the last 2 days here at their home field. We really could see the difference. The performance was really nice. They still have to learn the rest of the show but have a few weeks until the first "real" performance. She will finish up tonight around 11:00 because they are having a talent show right now. This is also an annual event that happens this weekend.

Tomorrow I plan to watch the NASCAR race and hope for Dale Jr. to ride to victory lane. I am also looking forward to getting some much needed rest.

The circus was fun, loud, expensive, but the boys had a good time.

I am loving the new blog look and how you changed the name! Was it hard to change the backround and keep all your stuff on the side bar! Let me know, I have been wanting to change the backround but scared I will loose everything and have to start all over :(
