Our Parish Festival

Holly and Josephine enjoying the bumper cars.......

Holly and her friends outside the Fun House.........

Every year our Church has it's annual Parish Festival. It is great fun. There is a spaghetti dinner and then some booths set up with little games for the kids, entertainment and a dunk tank. The dunk tank has always had a huge line because the kids like to try to dunk the Priests. Well our head Priest was really hoping to get a ferris wheel this year. He did better than that because he had a whole carnival come, rides games and all. There was also the traditional little game booths but no dunk tank this year. We decided to go with our friends Dena and her son Josh. We met and had a yummy dinner and then we were off so the kids could ride some rides and play some games. We also met up with some of the kids friends from school. Chris really enjoyed everything about the festival. It was nice that he could come with us this year. He is usually working during the festival but thankfully he was off today. Holly was having a blast! She won enough tickets to get this great doodle art set. It is really nice. THe kids had a great time in the Fun House and riding in the bumper cars. Holly has her heart set on going again tomorrow but I don't think it will happen. We have a very full day. SHe has a soccer game in the morning and then she is trying out for The Central West Ballet Company's performance of The Nutcracker. The festival appears to have been a success again this year. It will be interesting to see what will be ahead for next year!
