Weekend Fun!

We has a fun filled weekend. On Saturday we went to a special dinner that was in honor of our friend. She received a special award. She was awarded as Officer of the Year. She is such a sweet lady. All 3 of my girls think she is the best. We echo thier feelings. We had a nice dinner and then the awards ceremony followed. After that they opened the floor up to anyone and everyone that wanted to kareoke. Holly jumped right on this. She looked through the many binders of music that you could choose from. She found two songs she wanted to do. She picked I love rock and roll by Joan Jett and then Who let the dogs out. She got right up there in front of everyone and got right to it. The people didn't even phase her. Everyone really enjoyed watching her perform. We had a very nice evening.

The weather has jumped up to unseasonably HOT! Yesterday Chris got the pool ready for the season. Holly has been chomping at the bit all day to get into the pool. Finally the time came and Chris told her OK. She got into that water and didn't even blink! The temperature is 67 degrees! Yikes.

It was Chris's job to sit out in the hot sun and watch her. He seems to be enjoying himself. Holly is having a fantastic time out in the pool. I asked her to get the thermometer and show me just how cold the water was. You can tell by the huge smile on her face that she just simply doesn't care how cold it is.

She is enjoying splashing around on her big alligator and swimming back and forth and up and down. The weather report says that tomorrow will be even hotter than today, possibly reaching up to as high as 96 degrees! I saw yucky and she says bring it on. Oh well whatever the case may be the swimming fun has just begun!

She is hoping to have the warm weather stick around so that she can swim all the time.
