FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday afternoon Holly asked if she could have some chicken nuggets. I told her yes but that she needed to ask Alissa to put them into the oven for her. I was downstairs and busy so I just assumed that Alissa did this. I finished what I was doing and then went upstairs when I could smell something burning. I turned to go into the kitchen when all I could see was a bunch of smoke! The smell was horrible. The smoke was everywhere! I ran to the microwave and turned it off. I then proceeded to run around opening all of the doors and windows for the smoke to escape. I went back to the microwave and pulled out the plate. I couldn't believe my eyes. It was a mess of bubbling charcoal like nuggets. I called Alissa and Holly into the room. It turns out that Holly never asked Alissa for help. She just decided to put herself in charge and do it alone. She put her nuggets on her plate, put the plate in the microwave and put the timer on for 11:00 minutes! Yes that is correct 11:00 minutes. She didn't read the directions for the microwave she read the directions for the traditional oven. So the picture below shows what happens when an 8 year old puts themselves in charge of cooking chicken nuggets. My advice: " Don't let your kids try this at home! " The remnants of the smell are still lingering around the house today!
