What a day!

Today started off early. It was picture day for ballet. Holly was very excited for this. She loves ballet picture day. This year the class tutu color is white. It was very warm at 9:30 am. We had a glimpse of what we were in store for today. Before they had their pictures taken they went up onto the stage to practice their dance. They are actually combined with another class from a different day. This is the first chance that they all are together so it takes a little bit of time to organize all of them on the stage.

It is always fun to watch Holly dance. She really enjoys it. She is very excited becasue the ballet dance this year is from the movie Mary Popins so they get to have a parousal.

After they practiced both the ballet dance and the tap dance it was picture time. That all went well. The girls listened so the time went by very quickly. Then we came home and were onto helping Alissa get ready for her prom. She had a change of plans earlier this week and ended up just going with one of her closest friends instead of a date. It is better that way. This way there is no doubt that she will have a fabulous time!

She was very excited! Like I mentioned earlier it was a very hot day. We took pictures outside though because we wanted the green bushes in some of the pictures. We are so lucky because we have some wonderful friends. Kayla came over to see Alissa and take pictures and so did Dana, Hayden, Olivia and Blake. I asked Hayden what he thought and he said that Alissa looks beautiful. What a cute boy! He will definitely have lots of girls lined up when he is older.

I had to get a picture of the back of Alissa's dress. It is really a pretty dress. It is a purple color and has silver sparkles in it as well.

She is also wearing silver shoes that have a very HIGH heel. She is very excited and I am sure she will have a great time. They are taking chartered buses over to Golden Gate Fields and having the prom in the fancy club house. They will actually have dinner and dancing there. They are expected home about 1:00 am. It doesn't seem possible that she can be going to the prom. It was what seemed like yesterday that she was a tiny 2 pound baby in the neonatal unit at the hospital. Wow time really does fly. It is sad and happy at the same time. SHe has grown from an adorable tiny preemie into a beautiful young lady. I am a very lucky Mom.
