Mothers Day Weekend.......

We had a very nice weekend. On Saturday we were invitied to my Mom's house to celebrate her 70th birthday. Tiffany and Chris both had to work so it was just Alissa, Holly and myself. My brother and his family joined us later in the afternoon and my sister and her family had plans so they were not able to come. We missed everyone that wasn't there. The girls and I had a very nice visit with my Mom and Dad. We looked at pictures from their recent trip to Paris with my Aunt and Uncle. They sure had a great time. We had a really nice dinner and then it was time for the birthday cake. All of the kids were excited about this part. They all wanted to have a rose from the top of the cake. The cake was very pretty, it looked like an elegant hat. As always our visit ended too soon. We had to drive back home but were happy we got to visit.

This morning I got to sleep in. That alone was wonderful! When I got up I came out of my bedroom and the hallway had hand made posters all over the place. Holly had made me so many nice drawings with special sayings on them. This is just one of them. Alissa had made a wonderful breakfast too. It was french toast, pancakes, hashbrowns and scrambled eggs. We all enjoyed it very much.

The kids had me go down stairs because they wanted me to open my presents. I got a Dooney and Bourke purse! It is really nice. I love it! I also got some See's candy from Holly. Tiffany got me a mug from Starbucks and then decorated it with pictures from when she was a baby and little girl. I love it! She also got me a Starbucks gift card as well as a gift certificate to get a manicure and pedicure. I was very lucky!

Chris BBQ'd trip tip for dinner and it was great as always. We had a wonderful weekend. I am a very lucky girl to have such a great family.
