Let the craziness begin.....

It is that time of year again. If you have a Girl Scout in your family or your neighborhood you are well aware that it is cookie sale time again. For me it is something that will completely take over my life for roughly the next 2 months. I am the troop leader and also in charge of the cookie sale. I had a meeting with my troop last week and we talked about cookie sales. The girls all got their sales forms and information. They all seemed pretty excited about it too. That is always a good thing. Cookie sales are a serious thing for us. First we must look at the incentive prizes and talk about our goals. Each girl seems to have a different goal in mind. That is always something that can change during the next 2 months too. My daughter is very excited about selling cookies. She wants to sell about 2,000 boxes so she can earn the lap top. This is of course something that is highly unlikely but I don't want to discourage her. Every year she has the same goal and always changes her mind and figures out on her own that 2,000 boxes is a whole lot of cookies and that something in a different range is a much better goal for herself.



The most popular cookie is the thin mint. Oh boy are these ever yummy! They are great frozen too. These are the top selling cookie each and every year. Tiffany loves the shortbread cookie. This has long been her favorite. She always wants to make sure we have those on hand here at the house.

The peanut butter sandwich isn't really as popular as you might think. People don't care for it near as much as some of the other cookies.

Now if you like peanut butter and chocolate than the peanut butter patty is the cookie for you. These are wonderful and another favorite here at my house. My friend Denissa loves these as do her boys. Yummy is all I can say. These are dangerous to have at home if you are at all trying to be good and make good food choices. I will say however that since the cookies are only avaliable for such a short period of time that it really shouldn't count against you. Hahaha

The carmel delights are so good! They have such a good combination of carmel and chocolate and then they have the coconut too. Mmmmmmmmmmm.

The new cookie this year is called daisy go round. These are sort of a cinnamon type cookies and come in individual snack packs. They are nice. Perfect for snacks.

It gets pretty hectic for me during this time. I also have another huge deal going on during the same two months. Baseball tickets. Choosing the games we want and then figuring in games other people want as well as figuring out all of the money for this. It gets a bit crazy some days. In the end every year it all works out but it is just the time leading up to the end that is crazy.
