Today is Holly's 8th Birthday. I can't believe she is already 8 years old. It seems like only a couple of years ago that we just brought her home from the hospital. She was a sweetheart right from the start. Holly was a very good baby. She would just lie there and not even fuss. She would let us know when she was hungry or needed changing but other than that she was very easy going. Today before school she had her special Birthday breakfast. It consisted of scrambled eggs, cinnamon toast and chocolate milk. When she got to school they wished her a Happy Birthday on the PA system. She got a big kick out of that. After school our good friends the Kellers brought her a balloon bouquet to her class. It made her feel really special.
Holly wanted me to make a treat for her to take to soccer and share with her friends. I made chocolate cupcakes and decorated them with a fall theme. The girls were so excited to see that I had brought cupcakes. They had to wait until the end of practice before they could eat them. They all lined up and sang Happy Birthday to Holly. She got a big kick out of it.
Holly has been wanting an Ipod shuffle for a long time. She finally has one now. She loves the color. They do not make them in red so the next best choice was the hot pink. It suits her personality. Well since she has come home from school today with the exception of soccer practice the Ipod has been playing. She loves it. She is planning to take it nearly everywhere she goes. She is also making a list with more songs she would like to add to it. She even had it in at the dinner table. We didn't care because it was her special day and we let her listen to it. It has made her so happy.
She is enjoying her day and Alissa set up her Ipod so nicely. It was a great surprise for her to come home from school and have it charged and lots of her favorite songs loaded in already. It was set to go right as she walked in the door. She gave her sister a huge hug for taking care of it for her. It was nice to see how much it meant to her that her sister did all of this for her.

Hollys dinner choice was tri-tip,baked potatoe and homemade macaroni salad. It was really yummy. She also wanted me to make her a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting for dessert. Can you all se a pattern here? That girl is what i call a chocoholic! That is not a bad thing mind you just dangerous sometimes.LOL
